Text from Program: The actor who was Gil-galad in The Lord of the Rings will be at Elf Fantasy Fair. Mark attended, together with his good friend Hugo Weaving (Lord Elrond from Lord of the Rings) the NIDA - National Institute of Dramatic Arts. After this Mark began an acting carreer, first played in Soaps and later in one of the biggest fantasy movies of all times: Lord of the Rings. Next to being an actor, Mark also can be regularly seen as host of events in New Zealand television and since 2002 he can be found at Conventions all around the world. Mark originally comes from Sydney, Australia but currently lives in New Zealand where he plays his favourite role: Proud father of two sons. Mark Ferguson will be hosting two workshops a day at the Tent (4) and/or the Movie Theatre (5) and can be found at the Walk of Fame (6), too. [The numbers stand for the place of these locations at the official map]
Workshops: There will be two Acting Workshops, each 45 minutes for 20 Euros. The workshops are called "Close-Up" ("This workshop will cover basic acting technique. Learn how to discover the scene's 'objective' and how to play 'actions' that bring the scene to life. These tools are just as useful in scripted or improvised work.") and "Dress-Up" ("It will focus on ‘Character Development’, how to bring your characters to life; how to discover the links between yourself and character and how to find inspiration from the world around you to give depth and clarity to your characterizations. Great for would-be actors and role-players alike!"). Workshop subscriptions can be done at the signing stand of Mark Ferguson at the Walk of Fame.
